BRIGHT SPECIAL LIGHTING S.A

| | One of the most modern and dynamic companies in Europe is the Greek company BRIGHT SPECIAL LIGHTING S.A. which was founded in 1989. The company’s success lies in the most excellent knowledge of the lighting technology.
BRIGHT has established its brand name in the market due to its avant-garde approach by implying research and by being consistent in producing as well as marketing lighting systems. The application studies over a period of approximately 50 years with more than 155 employees and six product sale points in Greece have enhanced the efforts of the company. BRIGHT SPECIAL LIGHTING S.A. follows strategies based on detailed planning and designing, aiming at the most satisfying operational and aesthetical results. The company’s technological approach as well as the quality and endurance of its products comply to the highest European specifications. As a result, Bright has achieved a top rank position in the Greek market of luminaire production and light planning. A wide variety of high quality products fully covers the needs of international markets. BRIGHT’s new factory-covering an area of 7.500 m2-satisfies all modern requirements dealing with the manufacturing of luminaries and lighting accessories. As member of the European organisation “GREEN LIGHT”, BRIGHT promotes and contributes to energy saving technologies. BRIGHT constantly follows changing and rapidly developing lighting requirements by investing in the process of designing prototypes applying to ergonomy, and focuses on clean-line aesthetics and accurate detailing. |
The international IQNet organization and the German company DQS have certified BRIGHT SPECIAL LIGHTING S.A. for the use and development of a Quality Management System for the following activities : planning, production and marketing of luminaire bodies as well as lighting systems applications.
BRIGHT conceptualizes and proposes ideas for the lighting needs of spaces, by making use of its luminaire lighting database and the software of the German company DIALUX. The main aim of BRIGHT is to cover all the lighting needs of an area. More specific, BRIGHT deals with the lighting study of each area, the lighting specifications of the luminaires (e.g. special constructions) and finally the commerce of the appropriate luminaires.
Some of the most important domestic projects of BRIGHT are the following. During the Olympic Games of Athens 2004 BRIGHT, in co-operation with many construction companies, was responsible for the illumination of the surrounding area of Athens Olympic Sports Complex, the Main Broadcast Center, the Agora Synthesis of Olympic Sports Complex and the Pedestrians Crossing Bridge. Also, BRIGHT deals with international brands for the lighting of shops such as Benetton, Bylgari, Gucci etc. Many hotels, hospitals, offices of national and international companies, restaurants, shopping centers and other, are also lighting projects of BRIGHT.

| | According to the international lighting market BRIGHT in co-operation with its representatives – customers - has completed many projects such as a part of the International Airport of Dubai and others. Many palaces for Sheikhs of United Arab Emirates are lighted by BRIGHT in Dubai and Abu Dhabi etc. (photos are attached). The strategies of BRIGHT are based on the prototype luminaires design, the lighting studies services, according to the needs of an area and finally the special construction of the luminaires. The participation in international fairs as “Light & Building” in Frankfurt, “Interlight” in Moscow and “Lightstyle” in Dubai among others, have helped company promotion and have contributed to the augmentation of product exports on both a European and world-wide level. Competition regarding other lighting companies in Greece is restricted to divisional company interests reaching only a small part of BRIGHT’s total activities projection range. BRIGHT systematically adapts to recurring contemporary lighting acquirements, keeping in mind every individual need and the importance of personal satisfaction. However, the company invests above all, in people; the right people in the right place. |
| Lighting Techniques Design Projects

| | Lighting Techniques Design Projects Advanced Architectural Lighting requires a dynamic cooperation of experienced professional architects, engineers and lighting designers. The process aspects of the project are assessed in such a way as to take full account the principals of a qualitative lighting design. Mechanical Engineers supervise the installation of lightings and precede with test controls. The selection of the luminaries and the properties of lighting equipments play an important role in the lighting synthesis of the proposal. BRIGHT’s latest technology in lighting provides a professional quality of light with a range of ten categories of luminaries, shifting from small to large scale projects including lighting systems for commercial, residential, retail, office, museum, outdoor applications. |
The lighting designers are now able to create computer generated images that represent their ideas. The lighting designer enters the light plot into the visualization software and then enters the ground plan of each space and the furniture equipments, giving as much three dimensional data as possible (which helps in creating complete renderings). This creates a 3D model in computer space that can be lit and manipulated. Using the software, the design team uses the lights from the plot to create actual lighting in the 3D model with the ability to define parameters such as colour, focus, gobo, beam angle etc. "Snapshots" of various looks can be printed out and shown to clients or to the architectural team.

| Application Study of Lighting Systems

| | Application Study of Lighting System Application study of lighting systems requires a conceptual analysis of the space and its environment in order to achieve a delicate balance between consideration of visual comfort and creating interesting and desirable spaces. The lighting concepts in museums, theatrical and monument spaces are expressed through imposing effects and concept-balance between light and dark. Additionally BRIGHT develops energy efficient designs, along with successful lighting schemes. A museum lighting designer must satisfy many conflicting design requirements and that is why the installation of the luminaires should take place under the assistance of the lighting consultant. A recent project for BRIGHT was the illumination of George’s Zoggolopoulos sculptures. The exhibition of the famous sculptor took place in the National Airport of Greece where the lighting consultant in cooperation with the airport engineers adjusted the luminaires arranging the angles of lighting distribution. In every private or public space light plays a key role in visitor\'s ability to use and enjoy both small and large scale spaces.

Reflectors The reflector technology improves perceptibly the quality and the wide distribution of light achieving the increase of lighting efficiency. Reflectors provide light beams of various angles(14,24,40,60) depending on lighting requirements. The technology of Asterion, a high quality aluminium reflector maximizes lumen efficiency, based on its different light distribution pattern provides a wide beam of light. Special Constructions BRIGHT developed a new department for special constructions for luminaires. New products are manufactured with new shapes, colours, different dimensions, proportions and extra equipments. Special modifications are realised with the help and the collaboration of engineers and designers depending on the requirements of each project. The “tailor made lighting” sign demonstrates the adaptive methods for special constructions for the best lighting effect.
