Our engineers and lighting designers work with clients, architects and project teams to understand the space, its uses and its technical requirements. Together, we develop proposals that bring architectural intent, visual comfort and the applicable lighting standards into the same design.
Support at every project stage
Working from architectural plans
We review the layouts with you and the design team. We propose suitable luminaires, positions and optics, taking account of materials, ceiling heights, activities and the architectural intent.
An existing lighting specification
We assess the requirements of an existing study or luminaire schedule and identify suitable BRIGHT solutions. We review the relevant technical and photometric characteristics and document the proposal for the project team.
From design to application
Plans and lighting studies
Using AutoCAD and DIALux as appropriate, we develop layouts and photometric studies to assess illuminance, uniformity and glare where required. Drawings, luminaire schedules and technical information are prepared according to the stage and scope of the project.
Samples and full-scale mock-ups
Where the project calls for it, we prepare samples and evaluate lighting in pilot spaces together with the client and design team. Seeing the light on actual surfaces helps assess the effect and refine the solution before wider implementation.
The scale to support complex projects
Large projects bring together spaces with different uses, technical requirements and construction schedules. BRIGHT Plus works with the project team to coordinate lighting choices across these demands, from individual spaces to extensive building complexes.
Our experience in large hospitality developments includes involvement from the early design stages, evaluation in pilot spaces and technical coordination during implementation. Where a project needs a tailored luminaire, our custom construction capabilities extend the available options.

Standards and technical documentation

1 Workplaces
Lighting studies with reference to EN 12464-1 for indoor workplaces and EN 12464-2 for outdoor workplaces, as applicable. We assess the visual tasks, illuminance, uniformity and glare requirements relevant to the space.

2 Sports facilities
Lighting design with reference to EN 12193 and, for football projects where required, the UEFA Stadium Lighting Guide. The sport, competition level and any broadcasting requirements inform the study.

3 Lighting support for LEED and WELL
For projects pursuing LEED or WELL, we support the relevant lighting requirements through lighting studies and technical documentation for the proposed luminaires. We work with the designers and certification consultants responsible for the overall project submission.

4 Evidence for the proposed solution
Depending on the application, we provide available photometric files, colour-rendering data, glare information, BUG ratings and relevant test reports. Luminaire data is assessed alongside the installation layout and operating conditions, according to the project's requirements.
The applicable criteria are assessed for each project, according to its use, scope and the relevant version of the standard or certification system.
Designing how you use light
Lighting management begins with understanding daily use. Together, we define control zones, sensor locations, automation needs and user access: central management, individual control or a combination of both.
Our support ranges from selecting a DALI luminaire or a suitable solution with Casambi to configuring the complete lighting management system. We shape its operation around the client's needs and the way the project will be used.
Technical support on site
Site visits, samples and on-site evaluations are arranged in consultation with the client, according to the location, stage and needs of the project. We coordinate with the design and installation teams to address practical questions during implementation.
Where measurements are required, they are carried out by BRIGHT Lab, connecting the design work with the assessment of the installation.
