On Tuesday 8 March 2005 the new building of the Benaki Museum located on 138 Pireos St., witnessed the inauguration of the exhibition "ARCHITECTURE AWARDS 2004" exhibition, which lasted 27 March 2005. The same night, the architecture awards were presented.

The event was attended by the President of the Republic, Kostis Stephanopoulos, who was invited to present the awards.
The Architecture Awards 2005 had a double content: on the one hand, they continued the most important initiative of the Hellenic Institute of Architecture, to reward architects whose work in the last five years has distinguished them in the Greek architectural scene. On the other hand, to give the EIA the opportunity to mark the tenth anniversary of its foundation.

BRIGHT SPECIAL LIGHTING S.A. actively participated as a sponsor of the event, covering the needs of lighting fixtures in the exhibition area and the promotion of the sponsors.
